The Project Involved renovation of an existing unfinished basement into a two bedroom secondary dwelling. The new basement suite included a Master Bed-Room, Living/Dining Room, Furnace Room & a gym. EngineeredPlans was commissioned to prepare building permit drawings complaint with City of Vaughan Standards. We took great care when designing the new space to isolate sound and vibration disturbance between the upstairs and downstairs neighbors.
The basement unit was given a separate side entrance in the floor building permit drawings to meet Secondary dwelling requirements by the Vaughan.
We were commissioned to Design the new secondary dwelling and applying for building permit with the city of Vaughan. We prepared as-built drawings for the entire home, including elevations and site plan.
Permit Drawings were prepared using Revit. 3d scanning software was used to get mm precise measurements. Challenges on this project included an extremely restricted work site and a demanding fast-track schedule.
